Up close

Every seam taped and feathered wide, every screw spotted three times, so nothing shows through the paint.

Ceilings scribed tight to beams and trusses: the hardest cuts in a mountain home.

Straight bead and crisp returns on walls of glass, where low sun shows every flaw.
Finish levels
The industry rates drywall finish from Level 0 to Level 5. Here are the three that matter in a home.
Two coats over tape and fasteners. Right for walls that get a heavy texture like knockdown, and for garages.
Three coats, sanded smooth. The standard for most living spaces with flat or low-sheen paint.
A full skim coat over the whole surface. For walls of glass, raking light and semi-gloss paint, where Level 4 would still show seams.
Process
Full sheets, seams staggered and kept off door and window corners. 5/8" Type X where code calls for it, like garage walls and ceilings.
Paper tape on flats and inside corners, straight metal or vinyl bead on every outside corner.
Coats feathered wider each pass, dried fully in between, then sanded and checked with a work light.
Smooth, orange peel or knockdown, matched to the rest of the house, then primed and ready for paint.
What we do
Whole-house hang and finish, scheduled right after insulation and inspection.
New rooms finished to match the walls you already have.
Scaffolding and lifts for great rooms, stairwells and lofts.
Orange peel, knockdown or smooth, blended into existing walls.
